'TBI Most Wanted' Attempted Murder Fugitive Arrested In West Tennessee

A man listed on TBI's 'Most Wanted' list was arrested Sunday night in Paris, Tennessee.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirmed the arrest of Kevin Eric Dodd Jr., 28, who was wanted out of Paris by local police and the TBI for attempted second degree murder, reckless endangerment and probation violation, on its official Twitter account Monday morning.

Dodd was added to TBI's 'Most Wanted' list on October 29. The agency offered a $2,500 award for his arrest.

There are currently 10 individuals listed on the TBI's 'Most Wanted' list for crimes, which includes an addition to the list made in 1993.

All individuals added to TBI's 'Most Wanted' list are considered armed and dangerous and should only be approached with extreme caution. Before a special agent of the TBI or any other law enforcement official may submit a fugitive to be considered for inclusion in the TBI's 'Most Wanted' list, the suspect must meet the following criteria per TBI's website:

  1. The crime must have been committed in Tennessee and the crime committed must be a "violent felony" and/or major drug trafficking crime (Class A felony); and
  2. The perpetrator must have been identified, and a warrant must be on file for the perpetrator's arrest; or
  3. The perpetrator has escaped from a Tennessee jail or detention facility; or
  4. The perpetrator must have escaped from the Tennessee Department of Correction.
  5. The Director or his designee must approve the addition of the fugitive to the 'Top Ten Most Wanted' list.

The agency has apprehended 460 fugitives since the inception of the TBI's 'Most Wanted' program, according to its official website.
