Double Homicide Investigation: Tennessee Woman, California Man Wanted

A Middle Tennessee woman and a California man are wanted in connection to a double homicide in Kentucky.

Kayla Spivey, of Clay County, 28, and Edward Whitledge, 28, were identified as suspects in an investigation by the Livingston Police Department and Overton County Sheriff's Department in connection to a double homicide in Monroe County, Kentucky that took place last Sunday, the Livingston Police Department announced on its Facebook account.

Whitledge is reportedly wanted on two murder charges and Spivey is wanted on two counts of complicity to commit murder, according to Kentucky State Police via WAVE 3 News.

Kentucky State Police report Trevor Cleary, 20, and Austin Copas, 19, were found sitting in chairs, dead from apparent gunshot wounds to the head in a house in Monroe County on Sunday, WAVE 3 reports.

Livingston Police said Whitledge and Spivey could be driving a black Nissan Altima with Tennessee tag number DP68781. Local law enforcement is aware of Spivey's work history in Overton County.

Whitledge is 6'2," weighs approximately 188 lbs and has hazel eyes and brown hair, according to KSP via WAVE 3. Spivey is 5'4," weighs approximately 145 lbs and has brown eyes and red hair.

The Livingston Police Department said there is no indication that Whitledge and Spivey are in Overton County or the city of Livingston at this time. Officers are prepared to release any follow up information that could lead to their whereabouts.

Police are asking the public to report any suspicious activity or any information related to the whereabouts of Whitledge and Spivey or the black Nissan Altima listed as a suspect vehicle.

The department is advising residents not to approach the individuals if they are seen, but instead dial 911 or call Livingston Police at (931)-823-6496 or the Overton County Sheriff's Department at (931)-823-5635.
