JEOPARDY HOST ALEX TREBEK ASKS FOR PRAYERS AMID CANCER DIAGNOSIS

"Jeopardy!" host, Alex Trebek, has revealed via a YouTube post that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

The 78 year old who has hosted the game show since 1984, asks for your prayers and he declares He will beat the grim diagnosis. He says lightly that he has to finish out his contract. He has 3 more years on his contract. He does plan to finish out this season of "Jeopardy!"

"Just like 50,000 other people in the United States each year, this week, I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer," he said.

"Now, normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working, ” he said in the video. "And with the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rates statistics for this disease."
