"Keeping Memphis Cool"

As part of its "Keeping Memphis Cool" initiative, Electrolux is donating room air conditioning units next week to assist needy Memphis individuals and families that have been impacted by the high summer temperatures. The donation will be made through Neighborhood Christian Centers and priority will be given to households with seniors 60 and older, disabled residents, those who have been laid off from work, or are on medical leave.

 

How to Participate:

 

Shelby County residents in need of an air conditioner should contact the Neighborhood Christian Centers hotline at 901.881.6013 beginning Friday, July 11 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

 

Applicants will need to have:
Tennessee state ID or driver's license
Most recent pay stub or SSI statement
Proof of medical leave (doctor's statement, employment leave statement)
Proof of lay off (separation notice, unemployment statement)
